The Gotcha Rescue Kit is a pre-rigged remote rescue system designed for safely raising or lowering a suspended casualty from fall-arrest lanyards or safety lines without cutting the original connection. It’s built for single-person rescue scenarios, allowing a rescuer to attach to a casualty using a telescopic pole (Gotcha “Frog” device), operate the system from a safe anchor point, and then either lift or lower the person. The kit includes a rescue rope, upper and lower pulleys, a rope controller, karabiners, an anchor sling, and a backpack-style gear bag—all color-coded for intuitive use under stress. Because it’s pre-assembled, there’s minimal setup required during an emergency, which speeds up rescue response time. The system works in “high anchor” (above casualty) and “low anchor” modes, giving flexibility depending on where the anchor point is. It’s certified to EN 1496 (rescue standard) for safe operation. The rope and sling components are sewn and terminated for safety and durability, and the whole system is designed for inspection and reuse.
