Evacuated Tube Solar Collectors are high-efficiency solar thermal devices that use rows of parallel glass tubes to capture and retain solar heat. Each tube contains an absorber coated to maximize solar energy absorption, while the vacuum between the tube layers minimizes heat loss. A heat-transfer fluid (such as water or antifreeze) circulates through a manifold, carrying the captured heat to a storage tank.
