The Simrad V5035 Class A AIS is a fully compliant, IMO Type-approved transceiver designed for high-traffic and SOLAS-rated vessels, offering reliable ship-to-ship and ship-to-shore identification. It features a built-in 3.5″ colour LCD, a rotary knob, and six-button keypad for intuitive standalone operation—even without connecting to other displays. You can view AIS targets in multiple modes: a radar-style screen, coastline view, alphanumeric lists, or satellite view. The unit comes with a junction box, GPS antenna, pilot-plug assembly, power cable, and mounting kit, making it a complete system out of the box. It supports both NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000, enabling seamless integration with external sensors, Simrad chartplotters (GN70, MX610/612), radar, and ECDIS systems. With multiple sensor ports, bi-directional data, and long-range connectivity, it's flexible for a variety of setups. The compact and rugged design suits both bridge panel and bracket mounting, while also handling the demanding conditions on commercial vessels. By enhancing situational awareness, the V5035 improves safety in crowded waterways, especially in radar blind spots.
