The Omniscan 450 SS Side Scan Active Sonar System is a high-resolution underwater imaging solution designed for detailed seabed mapping, target detection, and navigation support for ROVs, AUVs, and survey vessels. Operating at 450 kHz, it delivers sharp, wide-coverage imagery with excellent range—up to 150 m per side—while maintaining fine resolution through its narrow fan-beam design. The system supports fast ping rates for smoother data collection, especially in shallow-water missions. Its separate electronics module allows flexible mounting, keeping sensitive electronics protected while the transducer remains exposed for optimal imaging. With a 300-meter depth rating, it performs reliably in both shallow and mid-depth operations. Ethernet connectivity ensures quick data transfer and seamless integration with survey setups. Low-power consumption makes it suitable for battery-powered USVs and AUVs. Paired with SonarView software, it generates clear, georeferenced mosaics for real-time interpretation.
