A Cooling Tower is a heat rejection system that removes excess heat from industrial processes, HVAC systems, or power plants by transferring it to the atmosphere, usually through the cooling of water. Warm water from the system is pumped into the cooling tower, where it is distributed over fill media to maximize contact with air. As air flows upward (either naturally or mechanically forced with fans), a small portion of the water evaporates, carrying away heat and cooling the remaining water. The cooled water is then recirculated back to the system, creating an efficient and sustainable cooling cycle.
