UV-blocking polyester fabric is a specially engineered textile designed to provide protection against harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Made from tightly woven or specially treated polyester fibers, this fabric offers a high Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF), effectively shielding the skin from both UVA and UVB rays.
Polyester’s natural density and synthetic composition already offer some UV resistance, but UV-blocking variants are enhanced through weaving techniques, fiber treatments, or coatings to maximize sun protection. Despite its protective properties, the fabric remains lightweight, breathable, quick-drying, and durable.
Commonly used in outdoor apparel, sportswear, swimwear, hats, and sun-protective accessories, as well as in tents, umbrellas, and shade structures, UV-blocking polyester is ideal for prolonged sun exposure. It
