Teflon-coated fabric is a performance textile treated with a Teflon™ (polytetrafluoroethylene or PTFE) finish to enhance its resistance to water, oil, stains, and dirt. This invisible protective layer coats each fiber, forming a barrier that repels liquids and prevents contaminants from penetrating the fabric surface.
Teflon coatings do not alter the texture, breathability, or flexibility of the base fabric, making them ideal for maintaining comfort while improving functionality. They are commonly applied to materials like cotton, polyester, nylon, and blends.
