A Stretch Wrapping Machine is an industrial packaging system used to wrap palletized loads, boxes, reels or other products with stretch film to secure them for storage or shipment. These machines can be manual, semi-automatic, or fully automatic, and often feature a rotating turntable or a ring/arm that moves around the product while applying stretch film. They provide adjustable film tension, variable wrap cycles, and the ability to detect load height so that the wrapping stops at the right level. Additional features usually include pre-stretch units (to reduce film consumption), PLC controls or touch panels for setting parameters, safety sensors/guards, and different operation modes (auto/manual). The result is better load stability, protection from dust and moisture, reduced labour, and more consistent and tighter wrapping compared to hand wrapping.
