The Ocean Signal rescueME MOB1 is a compact, lifejacket‑mounted AIS man overboard transmitter that activates automatically when the jacket inflates (or can be triggered manually), sending a distress signal with precise GPS location to nearby AIS‑equipped vessels and onboard plotters. It includes an integrated 1 W AIS transmitter (161.975 / 162.025 MHz) and a 0.5 W DSC (Digital Selective Calling) module (156.525 MHz) to alert your own vessel’s VHF. The device is only about 30% smaller than comparable units, weighs just 92 g, and is waterproof to 10 m depth. It has a high-intensity strobe light for visual signaling, operates continuously for over 24 hours after activation, and uses a 7-year replaceable battery. The MOB1 is rated for temperatures between –20 °C and +55 °C, comes with a 5‑year warranty, and conforms to international AIS and RTCM standards (RTCM SC11901, EN 303 098‑1).
