L 3/12 Muffle Furnace For Laboratory Use

The L 3/12 Muffle Furnace is a laboratory furnace made by Nabertherm, part of their “L / LT” series, designed for high temperature work up to 1,200 °C. It has a usable chamber volume of roughly 3 litres with internal dimensions of about 160×140×100 mm. Externally it spans approximately 385×330×405 mm (plus door extension), and weighs around 20 kg. The furnace is heated from two sides using replaceable ceramic heating plates, giving good temperature uniformity (±5 K above 800 °C in an empty load). It is typically powered at ~1.2 kW from a single-phase supply, and comes with a controller (such as the B510 or C550 type) that offers programmable temperature profiles, ramp-soak cycles, and safety features like over-temperature protection.
