The Davis 6357 Vantage Vue ISS is the outdoor sensor module for the Vantage Vue weather station. It integrates wind speed and direction, temperature, humidity, and rain measurements into one compact, rugged unit built to withstand harsh environmental conditions. The suite uses a frequency-hopping spread-spectrum (FHSS) radio to wirelessly transmit data up to 1,000 ft (300 m) to the Vantage Vue console. Power is supplied primarily by a built-in solar panel, with a backup CR-123 lithium battery to ensure continuous operation. Designed for durability, it features corrosion-resistant housing, sealed electronics, and a built-in bubble level for accurate mounting. The temperature/humidity sensor is protected by a passive radiation shield that helps reduce solar heating errors.
