Double cask maturation: Aged 12 years in ex-bourbon American oak, then finished in European Oloroso sherry casks—imparting rich fruit and spice complexity.
ABV 40 % (or 43 % in some markets), smooth and well-balanced.
Palate: Creamy texture with dried fruit, nuts, spicy oak, caramel, toffee, and baking spices.
Finish: Medium–long, warming with nutty sherry, dried fruit, and light spice.
Heritage craft: Produced at Balvenie in Dufftown, one of the few distilleries maintaining barley growing, floor malting, coopering, and coppersmithing on-site.
Versatile enjoyment: Great neat, on the rocks, with a splash of water, or in classic cocktails like Old Fashioned or Rob Roy.
